Introductory lecture on the combined use of open-source GIS software and open global spatial dataset to compute SDG indicators. The lecture provides a theoretical/informative preamble to SDGs and their connection to geospatial data, and a hands-on computer exercise session. The training material presented is available online (isprs-gis-sdg.readthedocs.io) and it was developed within a project funded by the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS).
