Webinar: Geospatial Information Services in Support of United Nations Field Operations

The United Nations has been using GIS software for the past two decades to enhance the operational capacity of its operations in the field missions and the UNHQ. GIS and remote sensing plays an integral role in consuming and procession a vast amount of information and presenting it in an easy visual format that enhances the analysis and monitoring of the situation during the conflicts, awareness, planning and decision making processes in Peacekeeping, Special Political Missions or the Field Offices of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Safety and Security or any other operations.
The seminar will introduce the practical application of GIS and remote sensing to the United Nations field operations.
