4th Workshop of Humanitarian Collaborative Mapping

Dear students, a new event of Humanitarian Collaborative Mapping is planned for April 5th, from 4.15pm to 7.15pm in room S1.5. The event is framed within the European Night of Geography.

The event will involve mapping buildings and villages in Senegal to produce risk maps related to schistosomiasis, a water-based epidemic disease, affecting the region of Saint-Louis. During the event the usage of JOSM will be explained, especially for OSM editing with the “Buildings Tool” plugin.
For the mapping activity participants must come with a laptop and a mouse; moreover they need to install JOSM (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Installation) and the Building Tools plugin (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Plugins/BuildingsTools) before the event. For any problem in the installation write an email to polimappers@gmail.com
