Prof. Pedro Wightman from Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá will give a presentation on one of the most relevant yet often overlooked topics in the digital era: location privacy.
As mobile devices and GPS technology increasingly integrate into our lives, so does the invisible trail of our movements. This talk will explore how location data—often seen as non-sensitive—can expose personal routines and contexts, and present innovative techniques to protect this information while maintaining data utility for industry applications.
Pedro Wightman is a senior member of IEEE, a researcher with Colombia’s Ministry of Science, and author of multiple books and scholarly publications. His expertise spans location-based services, AI in education, blockchain, and Industry 4.0.
