They excel as both expert users and system designers, managing spatial data and driving the evolution of spatial information systems through their expertise, critical thinking, and specialized qualifications.

Research institutes or companies

working with the Internet of Places, the Internet of Things, big geodata, sensor enablement, urban data and city analytics, and Earth observation

Information Industries

specializing in the design and implementation of hardware and software for environmental and land management applications

Public and private entities

working in cadaster, cartography, spatial data infrastructures, and data collection

System development companies

specializing in sensor network design and management, as well as environmental tool design and development

PhD programmes

Graduated students willing to deepen their knowledge and willing to work in the research field can apply for a PhD. 

The admission to PhD programmes is selective. The Research Doctorate is awarded after at least 3 years, during which students are requested to develop a research project.

students

 and companies

The POLIMI career service connect students with companies. Companies registered to the career service platform can post announcement for job or internship opportunities. Selected students are covered by an insurance during their internship activities. 

An annual ‘Round table with companies’  is organised by the career service for Geoinformatics students. Companies  present their main innovative projects and answer to student’s questions.
