The next PoliMappers meeting, which is also an official lesson of the
course “Humanitarian Collaborative Mapping” of the “Passion in Action”
program, will take place on 14th of December, in building 11, room D,
between 15:15 and 18:15. The purpose of the meeting is to learn about
the advanced use of Mapillary, particularly how to insert photos that
are not georeferenced to the Mapillay database; and learn another tool
called Pic4Review that uses the photos of Mapillary and OpenStreetCamto
insert data into OpenStreetMap database. Please download all the
material needed for the lesson at the link
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1j8Q6BkcHdY8xApW0wbSNJd9vBjj_J3t-.
We will also have elections during this lesson. The officer roles that
will be elected are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer,
responsible for communication and social media, and technical
responsible. If you are a PoliMapper, please consider being a candidate.
All the candidates are expected to talk for a couple of minutes about
why they think they fit the role, what they would like to do, what they
would like to keep having and change in PoliMappers activities.
